Losing My Title, Finding My Direction
If you’ve been following me for a while, you’ve probably known me as a coach, presenter, creator, or brand ambassador in the fitness industry. It’s been my world for over 10 years. And, to be honest, I wasn’t sure if I’d ever step beyond it.
But here’s the thing about growth - it’s not always comfortable, and it usually doesn’t come with a perfect job title.
At some point, I started feeling… stuck. I wasn’t being challenged in the way I needed. I craved more creativity, more problem-solving, and the chance to work with brands I truly believed in - not just as their ambassador, but as the person helping drive their growth from the inside.
So, I made the shift.
Without announcing it. Without fully knowing what it meant. And, if I’m being real, with a LOT of hesitation. Because after spending a decade building a name for myself in one space, the last thing I wanted was to feel like I was throwing that all away.
Turns out, I wasn’t.
The experience, the relationships, the credibility - it wasn’t something I was leaving behind. It was something I was bringing with me. And once brands started seeking me out for my expertise in marketing (without me even advertising it), I realised that everything I had built was actually working in my favour.
I won’t pretend it was easy. I had to mourn an old version of myself. I had to sit with the discomfort of not having a clear title. I had to let go of what people might think. But what I gained was worth it.
Now, I work with fitness and wellness brands in a way that challenges, excites, and pushes me creatively. And the best part? I didn’t have to choose between my past and my future. I get to do both.
So, if you’re feeling stuck, stagnant, or scared to evolve - this is your reminder:
Back yourself. Just do the thing. Be kind to yourself while you figure it out.
Because your past isn’t something you leave behind. It’s what sets you up for what’s next.
